Security and data

Your data stays yours, and BinCall runs beside the software you already have

Two questions come up in every first conversation: will this have to connect to our scale system, and who can see our customer list.

Your existing software

It does not replace your scale or accounting system, and it does not need to connect to it

BinCall handles the part your scale software does not: the request from the customer, the truck, and the conversation in between. Customers, sites and containers come in from a spreadsheet you export. Reports go out as spreadsheet files.

There is nothing to install on a yard server and no network port to open.

Access

Who can sign in, and what they can see

  • Staff sign-in

Email, password and a code from an authenticator app. The second step is required for every staff account, not optional.

  • Customers and drivers

A one-time code texted to their phone. Customers see only the sites assigned to them. Drivers see their own runs.

  • Roles

Owner, admin, dispatcher, sales rep, driver and customer. Sales reps can change only the accounts assigned to them.

  • Switching someone off

Disable a person and they are signed out on every device at once.

  • Devices

Staff can see every device they are signed in on and sign out any one of them.

Your data

How it is kept

  • Kept apart

Each recycler's data is separated inside the database itself, not only in the application. One recycler cannot read another's customers, containers or requests.

  • Encrypted on the way

Every connection is encrypted, and browsers are told to refuse an unencrypted one.

  • Backed up nightly

The database is backed up every night.

  • On the record

Sign-ins, rejected attempts and changes to people, settings and report schedules are written to an audit log.

  • Yours to take

Your customer, request and equipment records are yours. Reports download as spreadsheet files whenever you want them.

  • Texts your customers can stop

A customer who replies STOP to a text is taken off text messages automatically.
